We asked Susan to tell us where her and her boys like to adventure in and around Las Vegas. These are their favorites:

Hiking & Exploring

Being a mom is my best accomplishment and I enjoy hanging out with my sons who tag along on all my adventures. It is such a joy to watch them play, learn, and love their natural surroundings as much as I do. We love exploring Nelson Ghost Town and hiking at Big Dune, Mt. Charleston, Valley of Fire State Park, and Red Rock Canyon.

I am a nature and outdoor enthusiast and I enjoy every kind of outdoor activity from hiking, to camping, to fishing, or anything that tickles my fancy in the outdoor spaces. In marked contrast to a town geared to entertainment and gaming, Red Rock Canyon offers enticements of different nature including a 13-mile scenic drive, miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain and road  biking, picnic area, nature observing and a visitor center with both indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Lucy's Ethiopian Restaurant

I love food and I love how diverse Las Vegas is with restaurants that cater food from all around the world. Our favorite restaurants are Lucy's Ethiopian Restaurant, Weera Thai, and of course In-'n-Out.

Sky Combat Ace

I am very passionate about traveling and exploring new places and discovering new things. It always broadens my perspective when I step outside of my comfort zone and do something new. I recently flew a stunt plane with Sky Combat Ace. Their highly experienced instructors took me on a thrilling ride and I got to experience aerobatic maneuvers in the sky and an adrenaline rush like no other.

Art Galleries and Museums

Art has always been my favorite hobby since I was a little girl and is something I enjoy to-date. I enjoy everything from painting to drawing. I also enjoy visiting art galleries and museums in and around the city. My favorite art galleries and museums are Nevada State Museum at Springs Preserve, Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Mob Museum, The Neon Museum Las Vegas, Arcadia Earth, Illuminarium Las Vegas, and The Howard Cannon Aviation Museum.

Las Vegas Parents Club

From play dates to date nights, Las Vegas Parents Club is your go-to guide for all things parenting in Vegas.
