The Food Court also has many options and is open 24 hours. It has popular spots such as Popeyes, Starbucks, Auntie Anne’s, and more. Drenched Bar & Grill is a pool-side dining option that offers sweet treats and popular lunchtime favorites. Dick’s Last Resort restaurant is another option on property where children are allowed. However, it does have more of a mature, adult feel, so you may want to avoid this spot, especially with littles.
You surely won’t have to worry about your kids’ voice volume at TAP Sports Bar! This lively joint has plenty of American favorites (think Burgers, pretzels, nachos, chicken tenders, desserts, and more) for you to devour while you watch sporting events on their many TVs. TAP is open Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 1:00 AM, and Friday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
FUN IN THE SUN
The tropical-inspired pool provides an extravagant feel for your getaway and is open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It has four beautiful pools, a water slide, and luxurious cabanas. There are also certified lifeguards that sit around the pool, which offers some extra peace of mind for busy parents. The pool deck offers plenty of seating options that you can reserve in advance on the hotel website, which is so convenient when you’ve got young children in tow. The pool deck also has a wonderful dining option that is sure to satisfy all members of your family. Drenched Bar & Grill has American fare and is so convenient for your family pool day.
SHOWS AND ENTERTAINMENT
There are many shows to catch at Excalibur. The Mac King Comedy Magic Show is a fun choice for guests ages five and older. It’s a 70-minute show with Incredible illusions and tricks, Audience interaction, and a pet guinea pig named Colonel Sanders.
The Fun Dungeon is a world-famous arcade located on the lower level of the hotel. It offers over 200 games where you can win prizes, including traditional carnival games, kiddie games, arcade games, sports games, and more! The medieval-themed Fun Dungeon is open from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM daily and serves Dairy Queen treats for your sweet tooth.
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is known for the Tournament of Kings dinner and show. This medieval dining experience is based on the story of King Arthur and is the most popular dinner show in Vegas. This show has everything: special effects, pyrotechnics, horse riding, and battling...What more could you need? It’s very interactive, which will hold your kiddos’ attention. You'll cheer for your section’s king, boo the others, be amazed by a dragon, sing songs with the court jester, and more! The meal each patron is served consists of roasted potatoes, vegetables, a cornish game hen, and a biscuit with fruit strudel for dessert. (Oh, did we mention that, in keeping with the medieval feel, you eat with your hands?)
This dining experience and show are appropriate for all ages. Children under 3 are free and must sit on an adult’s lap and share the adult’s meal, while children four and up are charged the full ticket price and will get their own seat and meal. If you’re not interested in the meal, you can get dinnerless admission, but these tickets must be purchased in person at the box office.
HIDDEN GEMS
The Ultimate 4D Experience, located in the Fun Dungeon, combines high-definition 3D projection with special effects to make you feel like you’re smack dab in the middle of a story. There are plenty of experiences for kids, such as Happy Feet, Yogi Bear, and more. Due to the experience being so much more interactive than a traditional movie theater experience, your children’s attention will likely be held for the majority of the feature. There are no official age restrictions, so use your best judgment when bringing littles.
Make sure to explore the hotel for knight statues and other medieval-inspired decor for fun photo ops. You can make it into a scavenger hunt of sorts! The Dragon’s Lair Gift Shop has a huge green dragon that your kiddos will be amazed by. There are also many gift shops throughout the property to get any forgotten toiletries or new souvenirs.
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is sure to enchant and entertain your little ones, all while keeping your sanity intact.
