Treasure Island : Family Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is a must-experience Las Vegas resort, especially for children. From leisure to exploring attractions, there’s plenty of fun and dining, and entertainment options for your family. Although the formerly famous pirate show closed in 2013, Treasure Island still dons plenty of pirate inspiration through the wondrous pirate ship in the front of the hotel and pirate-themed gift shops. These gift shops include Sirens’ Cove Shoppe and the TI Gift Shop, where you can find pirate-themed merchandise and souvenirs for your little pirates.

KID-FRIENDLY DINING OPTIONS

The kid-friendly dining options at TI all have a festive atmosphere, perfectly fitting to handle toddler tantrums and childhood excitement.

Señor Frog’s Bar is one of the most popular options and it’s fun for the whole family as children are allowed in the restaurant until 9:00 PM. It provides a casual, fiesta environment complete with authentic Mexican cuisine and live entertainment. The kids will especially love the grandiose pirate ship out front! Gilley’s BBQ is another favorite with a casual and vibrant environment with live music and a country western feel. They also serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. They offer barbecue classics and comfort eats such as steak, chicken, chili, and ribs.

Golden Circle Sportsbook & Bar is another fun option where the fun (and volume!) is limitless. Your family can enjoy their favorite traditional American cuisine while watching your favorite teams play on their gigantic video walls. The Coffee Shop, Pho, Pizzeria Francesco's, and Malena’s Yogurt Plus are other fun casual dining options. There’s also a food court at TI that includes Popeyes Chicken, Pick Up Stix Asian, and two Starbucks establishments. TI also has super convenient in-room dining selections.

FUN IN THE SUN

Treasure Island has a heated tropical pool surrounded by beautiful cabanas throughout the pool deck. Cabanas are available to be rented for a half-day or a full day depending on your needs and price range. They come with a stocked refrigerator, ceiling fan, poolside service for food and drinks, flat screen tv, and they provide shade. A cabana may help your little ones take an on-location nap so you can extend the fun for the rest of your family.

SHOWS AND ENTERTAINMENT

Treasure Island is famous for its exciting Cirque du Soleil show called Mystère which is the longest-running Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. It’s a 90-minute performance with shows at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM from Friday to Tuesday. There’s some pre-show entertainment that occurs 30 minutes before the start time, so be sure to get there early to check it out. Tickets range from $64 to $135 with a variety of different ticket packages and offerings so you will want to check the site for additional details to help make your decision.

The Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. attraction is a newer and more exciting activity for your family to check out. This attraction is the “Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network” headquarters, which is an exhibit of historical and scientific information about the Avengers and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All ages are welcome, and tickets for children ages 3 and under are free. Tickets for children ages 4 to 11 begin at $30, and attendees ages 12 and up begin at $40. If you’ve been familiar with Treasure Island Hotel in the past, you may remember the pirate show that once was offered (as mentioned above.) However, it has since been replaced with this exciting Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. attraction.

You can find dynamic live entertainment in Señor Frogs and Gilley’s Saloon most days and nights. Treasure Island also has an engaging arcade area for your children and family to explore together.

HIDDEN GEMS

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is close to lots of shopping. Make sure to take the pedestrian bridge that connects the hotel to the Fashion Show Mall and the Grand Canal Shoppes, which are full of fun stores and activities to explore for all members of your family. The Fashion Show Mall has cozy porch swings in separate little red “home” structures which children of all ages would enjoy. You can also venture through the Art Walk, which features many vibrant art installations throughout the mall for your viewing pleasure. You may even be lucky enough to catch a live fashion show while you're there. The Grand Canal Shoppes also have many entertainment, shopping, and dining options for the whole family
