5 Las Vegas Holiday Activities; Small Children & Families

There are many holiday activities in Las Vegas for everyone. We’ve narrowed down this list to our top 5 favorite activities that are great for small children and families. If you calendar your weekends ahead of time, you can hit all of these spots! It’s magical watching your children experience these sites and activities year after year through their eyes and with a new perspective each time.

  1. Downtown Summerlin - Holiday Parade, Rock Rink & Holiday Train

Downtown Summerlin has a few activities you can do. When you show up for the Holiday Parade, you can also view the gigantic Christmas tree, ride the Jupiter Express Train and go ice skating at the Rock Rink.

  1. Holiday Parade: every Friday & Saturday until Dec. 16th starting at 6pm. Free

2. Rock Rink: Ice Skate everyday through Jan. 15th ($16+)

3. Holiday Train: Runs with the schedule of the Rock Rink and is $5 per ticket per child

2. Holiday Ranch at Horses4Heroes

Holiday Ranch with Santa at the Horses4 Heroes Ranch. Join this Family Farm Day on 12/14/23 at 10am-noon and get your Holiday Photo! Ticket includes a your Santa photo, horse ride, ranch activities and decorating Christmas cookies. This is one day only - grab your spot! The purchase of your tickets help keep the horses happy and the ranch going at this one of a kind non-profit dedicated to helping veterans and local heroes.

Tickets $20 ages 2+, under 2 free. 

3. Ethel M’s Holiday Cactus Garden

Ethel M’s Holiday Cactus Garden is celebrating its 30th year. Open nightly, 5-10pm. Enjoy the food truck, and you can purchase their famous hot chocolate! There will also be opportunities to get a photo with Santa for an additional cost.

Info: $2 entrance fee, buy at the door

4. Magical Forest at Opportunity Village

Magical Forest at Opportunity Village is a winter wonderland with millions of sparking lights, rides and food. 5:30 PM-close on select dates through 12/31. “With every dollar spent at the Magical Forest, visitors are helping Opportunity Village fund programs and services for over 3,000 people with disabilities.”

Tickets: $25 for ages 4+, 3 and under free.

5. Enchant “Santa’s Magic Timepiece”

Enchant “Santa’s Magic Timepiece” is at the Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin through 12/31. You can go general admission or rent a private suite. There is a kid’s zone, a chance to visit santa, ice skating and more!

Tickets: $34 for adults and $25 for ages 3-17. Under 3 free.
