Library Storytimes & Events
Most libraries host general storytimes for kids ages 0-5. Many also host dedicated storytimes for families, babies, toddlers, and preschool kids. There are even dance and interactive storytimes. Aside from these, here's the down low of other special events by library.
Mesquite Library
Mesquite library hosts over 300 events and storytimes monthly, making it the most active kids program in Clark County. Weekly activities include a kids' "artsy-craft" event, a STEAM meeting, and a teen "crafternoon." Look out for special events like movie matinees for kids and a "Virgin Valley" history class.
Rainbow Library
Rainbow library offers free kid meals at their dinner time "Kids Cafe" for kids up to 18 years old. The whole family can participate in the "Family STEAM" meetings. Other unique kid events include chess gameplay, "Footloose Friday" storytimes that get kids dancing, and a "Thread and Textile Arts Club."
Clark County Library
This highly active library hosts "Maker March Wednesdays" for tiny tinkerers, a dance called "Music with Minis," and even a "Tween Thursdays Monster Club" featuring crafts and a fun monster movie. There's an afternoon free "Kid's Cafe" meal event for kids under 12. Special events include super-cool presentations like "The Queen's Cartoonists" and a "Barbie Make & Take" for doll lovers.
