We had the opportunity to sit down with the founder of Elysian MedSpa and learn more about her and her business.
Belina was born in Albania and immigrated to the United States during her early childhood. From a young age, she has been driven by a strong desire to make a difference in people's lives. With over a decade of experience in hospital medical care, she tended to acute and critical patients.
Her residency in Nurse Practitioner school was focused on family medicine, with a particular emphasis on dermatology. This specialization sparked her passion for aesthetic dermatology, where beauty and science converge. Through working in various medical spas, she has had the opportunity to further develop her expertise in this field.
She grew up in Massachusetts and relocated to Las Vegas four years ago. Her free time is dedicated to her own family, where she fulfills the roles as a wife and mother.
Tell us about your business, Elysian MedSpa
“Elysian” derives its name from Greek mythology, specifically from Elysium or the Elysian Fields. Elysian was described as a heavenly paradise, a place of ultimate beauty, serenity, and happiness.
At Elysian Medspa, we believe that true beauty is not just skin deep; it’s an experience that transcends the ordinary. Our name, “Elysian,” reflects our commitment to providing you with an experience that combines the pursuit of aesthetic perfection with the serenity and delight of an idyllic paradise.

What drove you to start Elysian MedSpa and why are you so passionate about this space?
The inspiration behind founding Elysian stemmed from my personal experience after the birth of my son. Like many mothers, I found myself neglecting self-care and prioritizing everyone else's needs above my own. With Elysian, my goal is to empower mothers to rediscover their sense of self and well-being.
I envisioned a place where moms could rejuvenate and feel like themselves again. Elysian offers a wide range of services, from relaxing facials and weight loss programs to vitamin injections for energy boost, neurotoxin and filler treatments, spider vein removal, and laser hair removal.
My mission is to assist moms in developing a customized treatment plan that not only enhances their outer appearance but also nurtures their inner well-being. Motherhood is a remarkable journey, and every mom deserves to be pampered and feel their best!
When starting your business, what challenges did you face?
Starting a business presented several challenges, one of the most significant being the time away from my son. Building a business demands an immense amount of time and effort. I dedicated countless hours of hard work because I was determined to make it perfect. From paperwork and creating consents to developing policies and opening medical accounts, every step required meticulous attention. Additionally, finding the right location and purchasing products and machines added to the complexity of the process.

As a women-owned and operated business, with founders coming from Albanian and Armenian backgrounds, diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of what we do. We recognize the challenges some clients face with language barriers, which is why we have employees fluent in Spanish, Albanian, Armenian, and Russian.

What Treatments would you suggest for a new mom that wants to feel more like her old self? ….and what about Dad?
We often suggest starting moms with neurotoxin treatments like Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin. Many mothers express concerns about appearing tired and noticing increased wrinkles. Neurotoxin injections are a popular choice because they offer a temporary solution, lasting about 3-4 months, allowing them to test the waters before trying other treatments.
Improving skin quality is another priority for moms, making microneedling or Morpheus8 appealing options. Since each individual's needs vary, we conduct a thorough assessment to create a personalized treatment plan addressing every mom's concerns and helping them achieve their desired goals.
For male clients, we advocate for a facial treatment, as skincare is equally important for men! Laser hair removal is suggested for the elimination of unwanted back and chest hair, or for achieving a more defined beard line. Microneedling or Morpheus8 treatments may be recommended to target skin texture irregularities and acne scarring. Additionally, Botox injections can effectively diminish deep lines and wrinkles, or better referred to as "bro-tox".
What self care steps are key to mitigate aging skin?
For individuals in their 20s, 30s, or 40s, I would recommend prioritizing sunscreen usage consistently. It's crucial to wash your face every night and avoid sleeping with makeup on, establishing a solid skincare routine. Sun exposure is the primary contributor to aging, so protecting your skin from its harmful effects is so important. Additionally, maintaining adequate sleep and staying well hydrated is essential for overall skin health and vitality.
